Luang Prabang, Laos Part I

Cet après-midi, après un court vol de Vientiane à Luang Prabang et s'être enregistrés à notre hôtel, nous sommes partis à la recherche de nouveaux temples...Nous avons eu l'occasion de visiter le plus gros temple bouddhiste au Laos, Vat Visoun, puis nous avons grimpé les plus de 350 marches menant au sommet de Phou Si pour admirer la superbe vue et visiter un autre stūpa, un monument qui contient des reliques bouddhistes...tout cela à 30 degrés Celsius et 1000% d'humidité. Je me suis fait à l'idée que ma photographie sera dominée par des images de Bouddha ... L'avantage ici c'est que les statues restent toujours immobiles...le sherpa ne se plaint pas trop aujourd'hui, sauf pour dire que monter les escaliers était un peu essoufflant...devrais-je être inquiet pour notre voyage au Népal et au Tibet l'année prochaine...peut-être que j'ai besoin de composer le 1-800-Louez-Un-Sherpa pour en réserver un avec plus d'endurance pour l'an prochain...restez à l'écoute...

This afternoon, after a short flight from Vientiane to Luang Prabang, we checked-in our hotel and went temple hopping and stupa trekking. We had the opportunity to visit the biggest buddhist temple in Laos, Vat Visoun, and then we climbed the more than 350 steps to the top of Phou Si to check out the view and the stupa, a monument that contains buddhist relics...all that at a nice hot and real muggy 30 Celsius. I have reasoned myself to the fact that I will be taking shots mostly of Buddha images...the advantage here is that they stay still...the sherpa did not complain too much today except to say that climbing the stairs was a bit hard...should I be worried for our trip to Nepal and Tibet next year...maybe I need call 1-800-Rent-A-Sherpa to reserve one with more stamina for next year...stay tuned...
