Après avoir finalement réussi à accéder ma chambre et m'être endormit malgré le bruit occasionné par mon Sherpa ronflant...l'option de la deuxième chambre, ça devient plus intéressant...le réveil-matin a sonné très de bonne heure, car nous avions 6 heures de route pour se rendre à Bagan...nous avons fait escale au Mont Popa, un volcan éteint, j'espère...la région du Mont Popa est fameuse, car il y a un temple où on y retrouve les statues des 37 Nats (esprits) officiels...y en a d'autres Nats, mais ils ne sont pas officiels...mon préféré, le Nat ivrogne...il y a même des bouteilles de whisky attachées sur la statue à titre d'offrandes par les pèlerins...tout juste à côté du temple, un pilier rocheux, nommé Taung Kalat, créé par une éruption volcanique sert de piédestal, si on veut, à un autre temple...nous aurions pu le visiter, mais le Sherpa ne voulais pas monter les 777 marches pour gravir le sommet...après le repas au Popa Mountain Resort, un superbe endroit située à un niveau plus élevé que le temple, nous avons repris la route pour Bagan...une fois arrivé à Bagan, une visite du plus gros temple de Bagan...une structure assez différente, datant du 13e siècle...puis, une autre occasion pour photographier un coucher de soleil,suivi d'un autre superbe repas traditionnel accompagné d'un spectacle de marionnettes...

After finally having managed to access my room and falling asleep despite the noise from my snoring Sherpa...the second room option is getting more interesting...the alarm clock rang very early as we had a 6 hour drive to Bagan...on the way, we stopped at Mount Popa, an extinct volcano, I hope...the region of Mount Popa is famous because it is home to a temple where one finds the statues of the 37 official Nats (spirits)...there are other Nats, but they are not official...my favorite, the drunkard Nat...one can even find bottles of whiskey attached to the statue as offerings by pilgrims...just next to the temple, a rock pillar, named Taung Kalat, created by a volcanic eruption serves as a pedestal, if you will, to a another temple...we could visit, but the Sherpa did not want to climb the 777 steps to get to the summit...after eating at the Popa Mountain Resort, a beautiful place located at a level higher than the temple, we took the road to Bagan...once we arrived in Bagan, we visited the largest temple of Bagan...a different looking type of structure, dating to the 13th century...and then, onto another opportunity to photograph a sunset, follwed with another great traditional meal and puppet show...
